1962 MONZA SPYDER CONVERTIBLE

Turn-key restored

1962 Chevrolet Corvair Monza Spyder convertible.

150 HP turbocharged engine with 4-speed transmission.

Restored in 2005 and repainted the original Ermine White.

Includes correct factory reproduction original red interior

including upholstery and door panels with correct 1962 trim buttons,

red padded dash, red shifter boot, correct red Tuxedo carpet, red sunvisors,

red kick panels, red rear armrests and red well liner.

Weatherstripping has been replaced throughout and is in good condition.

Engine was rebuilt including new pistons, new camshaft, new lifters.

re-sized connecting rods, re-bored cylinders, new rings,

new fan bearing, rebuilt generator, new regulator, new exhaust system,

rebuilt turbocharger, rebuilt carburetor (in 2024),

powder coated sheetmetal, chrome gas lines

and all new gaskets, seals and Viton pushrod and rocker stud o-rings.

Assembled with fully remanufactured cylinder heads including

new stainless steel forged valves and deep valve seats installed.

Engine has less than 6,000 miles on it since 2005!

Engine was rebuilt using a factory replacement case

but features entirely correct parts and assembly for 1962 Spyders.

Garage-kept and rarely driven except to car shows.

Original working radio and antenna with re-coned speaker.

Restored Chevrolet optional front seat belts.

Chevrolet spare tire lock.

1962 Spyder dash with all gauges working.

Glovebox light.

New set of VTO 13" mag wheels and special spider center caps

with new BFG 205/60-13" Radial T/A's.

Front and rear brakes rebuilt in January 2024.

No rust. Floors are original and rust-free.

Saddle tan top is in excellent condition with

only minor scratches in rear window.

Red top boot included.

Restored to original condition with correct trim, 

rocker moldings, emblems, mirror and rear grille.

Has original T-3 headlight bulbs with new adjusters.

Has seat extender installed on driver's side.
